3 Pillars of building a business that gives you FREEDOM + makes BANK.

I remember when my business was just an idea. I KNEW, deep down in my SOUL that it was the right next step.

EVERYTHING I wanted seemed SO possible. Hell, it seemed EASY. Like everyone and their mother could just stroll right into working online and make six figures in a snap.

But then, I started.

Cue the imposter syndrome, doubts, fears, insecurity, overwhelm and FIRMLY planting myself in my own way.

I felt like I was drinking water from a fire hose. I didn’t know where to start, so I just started CONSUMING everything I could possibly learn from other people who had the success I wanted. I thought if I modeled after the leaders in my industry, then BOOM, success would be mine, too.

Spoiler alert: That didn’t happen.

Fast forward six months: I invested five figures in coaches, courses and programs, and made exactly zero dollars.

Let me spell that out for you: HELLA anxiety, and not. one. client.

I was totally overwhelmed and exhausted. I was doing an INSANE amount of work (my to-do lists would give Wonder Woman a panic attack), but instead of living the ‘laptop lifestyle’, I just felt CHAINED to my laptop. Not exactly the ‘freedom’ I was going for.

I was doing everything I thought I was supposed to do, but signing clients felt IMPOSSIBLE.

I was so sick of spinning my wheels trying to figure out what I was missing or what I was doing wrong.

I was SO sick of being stressed out AF about money.

And I was DEFINITELY sick of wasting time on calls with people who had zero intention of hiring me.

I was at my breaking point, and something had to change.

Obviously adding MORE to my plate wasn’t working, since burning myself out trying to do ALL the things is what got me to that point. So I went in the opposite direction.

I DECIDED (key word) that things were going to be simple. They NEEDED to be simple. I mean, I started this business so I could continue traveling full-time, and you can’t do that if you’re behind a laptop 8-10 hours every day.

Not to mention, my brand was called “That FREEDOM Life”. No wonder I wasn’t making sales… I was trying to sell ‘freedom’ when what was ACTUALLY happening was me hating my life and feeling less free than ever.

SO, I went back to basics. I still didn’t know what to do, but I knew EXACTLY what I wanted, which was a business that could make a healthy income, and didn’t require me to spend all my time working on it.

What that meant was this: I had to be INTENTIONAL from that point forward about building things in a way that set me up for the end result I wanted.

I needed to BUILD IN the freedom from the get-go, which meant anything requiring hustle, overwhelm, and #allthethings wouldn’t be an option. I needed a SIMPLE, replicable strategy that would lead directly to the clients I wanted, and protected my time as much as possible.

And six weeks later?

I went from zero clients to signing multiple clients per month.

Then I tripled my monthly income (and growing).

And I did it all working 10-15 hours per week on my business.

The simple, replicable strategy that got me there? It’s now my signature coaching framework. And it’s built on three pillars: Clarity, Content and Consistency.

Here’s the deal: sustainable businesses always have been, and always WILL be about relationships, and nowhere is that more true than if you’re in the online space trying to sell high-ticket packages. SO, here’s what you need to focus on to master the art of creating authentic connections with the people you serve online, and nurturing those relationships so they buy from you over and over and over again:

  • CLARITY – Are you absolutely crystal clear on who you serve, how you serve them, what you help them to achieve, and WHY they need it? The key to making high-ticket sales is ensuring that your people CLEARLY understand what it is that you offer, and so often, I see coaches either being too vague, or too complicated about communicating what it is that they do. If you’re trying to create offers and services that account for all the potential problems that your people could have, it’s going to leave you AND them totally confused. When you get specific, things become more clear. When things become more clear, they become simple. When they become simple, you get the freedom. Bingo.

  • CONTENT – This is how you compel your audience to take action and buy from you, so learning how to master your content is critical. The key to my ability to get big results without a ton of time working is creating content that SELLS FOR ME. You want your content to get to a place where it’s so valuable and so captivating, that your ideal clients reach out to YOU wondering how to work with you, rather than you trying to find them.

  • CONSISTENCY – Because the sale goes to the woman who SHOWS UP, every damn time. Consistently engaging with your people is what BUILDS THE RELATIONSHIP, and allows them to get to know, like and trust you. And THAT is how you turn followers into buyers. THAT is how you build communities of raving fans who buy what you have to sell. THAT is your replicable process that never has you stressing about where the next client comes from, and that, sweet friend, is how you get the freedom you’re looking for.

Having a business that fulfills you, and gives you the time and financial freedom to do what you love is NOT about doing more, more, and more things. It’s about focusing on, and mastering the right things.
